The Best Cure For Acne – Bar None!

I’ll try to put this lightly – I am sick of your acne. Please don’t be offended. I mean well, honestly. I rode on the acne thrill ride for far too long myself. “It’s gone! It’s back. I’m up! I’m down. It’s gone away again, yea! No, it’s coming back…I Wanna Get off Already!”

I went to doctors and specialists. I tried over the counter and under the counter products. I watched infomercials, subscribed to acne magazines, and spent way too much money on soap. I finally found the best cure for acne, and promptly put it at the top of my “Things I never want to hear, speak, or even think about again” list. Unfortunately, shutting it out is impossible even with my acne cured. Why? Because of your acne. That’s right! The fact that you and so many others still have acne means I’m up to my ears in acne treatment ads and products!

I have to do something to help. Partly for selfish reasons, but mostly because if you still have acne you’re not curing it right! I have a feeling you still think acne is brought on by dirt and oil, giving you the impression that chronically washing your face will do the trick. -Caffeine:

Caffeine is an easy one. You can find it in coffee, soda, chocolate, tea, and so on. Caffeine has its negative and positive aspects, so I wouldn’t recommend extracting it from your diet completely but again… in moderation.

-Hydrogenated Oils:

A common example of hydrogenated oil is margarine. You can also find it in many cooking oils, such as vegetable oil, and in peanut butter.

-Fast Food:

I don’t think I need to elaborate much on this one. It’s harder for me to think of ways fast food isn’t bad for your skin than ways that it is. I would advise you to eat as healthy as possible if you really want to cure your acne.

As I said before, acne isn’t that hard to handle if you know what you’re dealing with. There’s really no need to stock up on products to treat it when you can simply rearrange your grocery shopping a bit!

The second product that is great for young girls is brown mascara. Wearing black mascara is a little intense, but the brown is soft enough to add just a little bit of color and length to the lashes. It also makes the color of your eyes stand out and you don’t need to use a lot to create a more dramatic look. The biggest mistake comes from using a black or very black mascara, and applying too much of the product. If they keep applying the mascara the lashes get heavy and clumpy. Also, if they finish applying the mascara and decide to go back after it has dried and apply more, they get a spider leg effect around the eyes. This provides a more dramatic look, but not in a good way.

The last product that is great for girls is tinted lip gloss. This gives a little color and shine, and makes them feel as if they are older. A couple shades darker than the natural lip color is perfect for this age group. Using a darker lip gloss or lipstick looks unnatural on a young girl, and if applied incorrectly it can look sloppy and messy. Also, using a darker gloss or lipstick is more likely to stain everything it comes in contact with.

Causes of Adult Cystic Acne

Many people get puzzled as to what the causes of adult cystic acne may be, especially because this is a condition that has always been linked to teenagers only. The truth is that even adults who have never had any problems before can experience a sudden attack with little or no warning.

And so the question is what would be the possible causes of adult cystic acne?

Actually there are quite a number of reasons why an adult would suddenly and unexpectedly find themselves with this uncomfortable condition.

Hormonal imbalances are a common cause of acne in adults. Research has clearly shown that when the hormone balance in the body suddenly changes acne can result. These findings seem to be supported by the observation that pregnant women and those going through menopause are the ones who seem most likely to suddenly develop pimples.

These are the two groups of adults who usually go through the most radical changes in the levels of hormones. It is believed that this triggers an equally sudden increase of sebum in the pores of the skin and this is what causes cystic acne to suddenly break out.

On other occasions sufferers of this condition tend to bring it on themselves. They do this when they start pricking on blackheads and whiteheads on their skin. This is usually done using the nails on their fingers. This results in damage and the spread of bacteria and if the resulting infection is serious and widespread enough, then a severe case adult cystic acne could be the result at the end of the day.

Exercise is a good thing not only for the body but also for the skin. However too much of it could result in acne. If your exercise routine is sudden and drastic probably in the hope of cutting down a lot of weight very quickly, this could result in sudden changes in the hormonal make-up of your body causing a sudden outbreak of acne even if you are fairly mature and well past the age where this condition is common.

Sometimes the hormonal changes caused by a woman’s menstrual cycle can be enough to trigger a serious bout of acne. Already we know that many women will tend to develop a pimple or two a few days before they have their monthly period.

This is usually caused by the body’s estrogen levels decreasing at a time when her progesterone is on the rise. This hormonal imbalance may cause the sebaceous glands to produce much more oil than normal and this is what produces the pimple or two. However in extremes full-blown adult cystic acne could result.

On other occasions the environment and toxins that the body is exposed to could result in adults getting acne. When toxins and wastes accumulate in the body and are not expelled in good time, problems are inevitable.

Usually the body has quite a number of ways of getting rid of toxins which includes processing through the kidneys, liver, colon, small intestines and so on. This brings us to yet another cause of acne in adults.

If for some reasons one or more of these “cleansing” organs is not working properly, then what will happen is that the toxins will accumulate in the body and when the usual methods of expelling them become inadequate, the body will try and flush out the “poison” through the pores on the skin. Naturally what will happen next is that sores and painful pimples will start to appear on the surface of the skin. This is of course acne.

Yet another cause of adult cystic acne is a condition called Polycystic Ovarian syndrome. This is a disease that affects up to 10 percent of all women where irregular menstruation is one of the most common symptoms. Women with this disease will tend to have serious imbalances in their hormonal levels and when this is treated the acne will usually disappear.

Surprisingly even certain medications are known to cause adult cystic acne. Medications that are anti-epileptic and anabolic steroids are amongst a few of them.

Even physical pressure and friction on the skin can cause Acne in adults. This includes the straps of a backpack that is way too heavy or even playing the violin where the instrument is placed next to the jaw or chin.

All these are just some of the many causes of adult cystic acne and this condition is certainly not limited only to the very young.

Characteristics:

People with dry skin may complain of a parched dry feeling and an overall lackluster appearance. This skin type does not produce the necessary natural oils and moisture to obtain a natural healthy glow which can be disheartening for people who want great skin. Dry skin often feels very tight and dry and often appears to be flaky, scaly, and rough. The biggest problems with this skin type are the onset of premature aging, the emergence of fine lines and wrinkles at an earlier stage in the progression of the skin’s life. Another characteristic of dry skin is very small pores. Fortunately, dryness of skin is often caused by non-hereditary origins: primarily environmental factors, exposure to harsh chemicals, poor choice in skin care products and excessive bathing. Dry skin is best in climates with warm temperature and high humidity and does not react well to cold weather or any low humidity climates. In colder areas or during the winter months, dry skin will have even less moisture than the low amount it is already used to; causing chapping, chaffing, irritation and redness. As with all skin types, make sure to avoid excessive heat and make sure to protect your skin from sun damage by using sunscreen and UV protection.

Moisturizing is very important for dry skin. To prevent irritation when drying, make sure to pat yourself dry instead of rubbing your skin which can cause chaffing and flaking. You will need to exfoliate numerous times a week to scrub off dead skin cells off the surface layer of your skin; sugar and oat scrubs work great for dry skin types. This will also help the moisturizers penetrate your pores and get into the lower levels of your skin. Simple and light all natural toners, such as rosewater or an organic green tea and vinegar toners, are recommended for dry skin. Try to shy away from overwhelming astringents because they may further strip oils and moisture from the skin. As with all skin types, make sure to avoid excessive heat and make sure to protect your skin from sun damage by using sunscreen and UV protection.
