How Do You Design A Workout Plan?

If you want to achieve a goal of getting fit or losing weight, you need to design a workout plan for yourself. It can be challenging to stay motivated and on track with your goals, but a good workout plan will help.

You’ll be able to see where you are progressing and what areas need more attention. Here are 5 steps to help you design workout so that you can get fit and lose weight and not give up and quit getting in shape.

1. What Is Your Objective?

The first thing you have to do when you design a workout plan is to know your objective. Do you want to lose weight? Are you hoping to improve your overall fitness? Do you want more muscle tone or do you want to bulk up? Having a clear understanding of what you’re striving to do in the long-run will help to guide your plan and keep you motivated.

2. When Will You Do Your Workout?

Now it’s time to think about when you’ll do your workouts. If you’ve not done any exercise for some time, start off with some light training on one or two days each week until you get used to physical exercise and recovery. Too much too soon could be overwhelming and put you off. After easing yourself in, you can increase the intensity of exercise routine and add an extra day or two to your program.

3. What You Will Do In Your Workout?

Plan each workout session with these objectives in mind. Do you want to lose fat off your stomach? Do you want to improve the stamina in your legs? Perhaps you want to build up your biceps? With a range of possible exercises in mind, plan what you need cover in each session. Aim to cover everything in a one or two-week exercise cycle.

4. Keep Track Of Your Results

When you exercise to your workout plan, you may get stronger and fitter quicker than you realize. There a number of signs that your workouts are working, and that visible proof of a healthier, leaner, fitter you are just on the horizon. For example, you may notice you can keep up with your kids better than before when playing in the park or outside.

5. Don’t Be Too Hard On Yourself

Don’t go all out right from the start. Too much exercise in the early days can lead to injury, low energy and frustration. Design a workout plan that is 30% less than you think you can deal with. Then, instead of you overestimating and feeling guilty that you’ve not achieved your goals, when you underestimate you’ll feel good about going beyond your goals.

History of Skincare Part 13: The Elizabethan Era, 1500-1599

A Northern Renaissance

It took nearly one hundred years for the Italian Renaissance to catch up with the British Isles, but when it did, the results were spectacular. Under the rule of Queen Elizabeth I, England began a quest of expansion that saw the creation of new colonies throughout the world. Large portions of India, Africa and North America were built up under British rule. While the merits of British colonialism may be debatable, however, there is no doubt that the Elizabethan Era represented an expansion of thought as well as an expansion of political power. Legendary playwrights and poets such as Christopher Marlowe and William Shakespeare based their works on the same Classical material that had inspired the Italians a century earlier. Clothing became increasingly elaborate and make-up quickly followed suit. At a time when a much greater emphasis was put on appearance than on health, however, hygiene and skincare often fell by the wayside.

The Elizabethan Look

During this time, Queen Elizabeth’s look ruled the hearts and minds of British women. While clothing had become increasingly structured throughout the later part of the Middle Ages, Elizabeth took this sense of structure to new heights. Tight corsets were worn to give the body a smooth, shaped appearance. While proper hoop skirts had yet to be invented, women tied large pieces of padding around their hips to thrust their skirts out into wide, oblong hoops. Starched ruffles were worn around the neck and hair was often pinned into elaborate up-do’s. In spite of the extreme ornamentation of their clothing, however, the face was still the focal point of the look and cosmetics took on a much greater importance than they had in Medieval England.

Queen Elizabeth is often credited with being the first of her time to adopt a completely made-up appearance. While she may have been the first, however, the noblewomen of Britain quickly followed suit. Women would paint their faces with a white powder referred to as Venetian ceruse. The best ceruse was made of lead, carbonate and hydroxide. Less expensive alternatives were made from talc or boiled egg, although these were considered to be less effective. Once the heavy powder was applied to the face, women would rouge their cheeks with a red paint called fucus and paint their lips with vermilion. The first lip sticks were made during this time by putting sun-dried vermilion and ground plaster into a device similar to a pen. (Go here to learn more about the Elizabethan lipstick-making process: http://www.cosmetic-business.com/en/showartikel.php?art_id=1409 ) To add a glazed appearance to their look, women would coat their face, make-up and all, in a layer of egg white.

The Great Coverup

During the Elizabethan Era, elaborate make-up was seen as a sign of nobility, because few common people could afford the lead powders and dried vermilion used to create the popular look. As the century wore on, however, cosmetics also began to be associated with disease. Poor hygiene had led to a number of serious plague and smallpox outbreaks and many survivors still carried horrible scars and pock marks on their faces. While disease was rampant among rich and poor alike, only the rich had access to the expensive cosmetics that would cover their scars. Strengthening the connection between make-up and poor health, doctors at this time began to discover that lead powder was not as safe as had previously been thought. Women rarely washed their faces, choosing instead to layer new powder over the old, and years of this treatment were found to turn the skin underneath a dull shade of gray. While many doctors recommended switching to an alum or tin-ash based powder, lead prevailed in popularity.

Many women went great lengths of time without cleaning the powder from their faces. When they did want to remove their make-up, however, they found that the thick, caked-on lead was not easily removed with water alone. In order to strip the cosmetic layers, they turned to a combination of skincare science and superstition, washing their faces with everything from gentle rainwater or donkey’s milk to more astringent red wine or urine. Mercury was also among the common skin care products used to treat acne, wrinkles, scars and discoloration. While it did effectively remove these blemishes, it did so by corroding the surface of the skin and often caused scars that were far worse than those it removed. In spite of the health concerns of the day, Elizabethan women were known for their excessive beauty and cosmetic practices. It was these excesses, among others, however, that would cause a Puritan revolt in the next century and see Oliver Cromwell take control of the British throne.

This is why knowledge of the symptoms should be known to a potential sufferer of this condition.

Those who suffer with a panic attack for the very first time may end up calling 911 for help. Because they do honestly believe that, they are in the midst of either having a nervous breakdown or heart attack. Effects of an anxiety attack are as different as are people. Panic and anxiety attacks are linked to the fear of not being able to get away from a situation that may be bad and or agoraphobia, which is an anxiety disorder that is marked, by the avoidance of public and strange places and the fear of having a panic or anxiety attack in a place one cannot readily escape from easily.

Anxiety attacks bring with them a fear of the unknown for first time victims. 1. Generated fear that one is actually about to die

2. Chest pains

3. Presence of hot flashes or chills

4. Shortness of breath

5. Presence of heart palpitations and sweating profusely

Panic attacks can have varying symptoms. Some of the ones mentioned here are just an example of a few on the list. Panic and anxiety attack symptoms also include smothering, choking, light-headiness, feeling of nausea, uncontrollable trembling, amid some of the traits.

However, there may be no obvious real triggers for some panic attacks as was previously stated. Panic disorder in itself does have some causes and amid these causes are heredity, phobias, hyperventilation syndrome, the use of some medications, chronic/serious illness, and lack of assertiveness in one’s life, the list goes on.

Understanding the various symptoms of panic and anxiety attacks is a step in the right direction towards understanding what panic attacks are all about overall. The key symptoms can actually make a person believe that their body is about to be done with when in actuality it is just the opposite.

The numerous symptoms that come into play are protecting the body from any impending harm. This physiological reply is known as the fight or flight response where a person’s body is being prepared to take on something very strenuous in nature if one must. The symptoms of a panic attack do not spell doom only eventual sweaty survival.

7 Steps to Unblocking Your Fallopian Tubes

I’m a kinesiologist who has developed a 7-step process for unblocking blocked fallopian tubes, and helping women to get pregnant in the shortest time possible. I’ve had great success with my own private clients, and I’d like to share with you how I helped these women to get pregnant, and how you can overcome tubal infertility without surgery.

Step 1: Herbal Tampons & Herbal Douches

The key step in the process involves using herbal tampons to introduce a powerful herbal decoction to the reproductive organs and the fallopian tubes. The herbs in the tampons are designed to kill any infections left in the fallopian tubes, break up adhesions and scar tissues, and soothe swollen tissues.

The herbal tampons are used every night after menstruation and before ovulation, and the douche is used in the morning to cleanse the reproductive organs of any debris loosened up by the herbal tampons.

Step 2: Herbal Capsules For Blocked Fallopian Tubes

Step 2 involves taking a blend of herbs that strengthen the actions of the herbal tampons. This herbal blend is 100% organic, and is designed to help the immune system fight off infections that can block the tubes, as well as increase the fertility and boost the sex drive.

All of my clients who want to get pregnant with blocked fallopian tubes take herbal capsules 3 times a day, in addition to the herbal tampons.

Step 3: Chinese Fertility Massage

The fertility massage helps to open up the reproductive organs, as it can break up adhesions, soften scar tissue and improve the health of the fallopian tubes and uterus.

For best results, I ask my clients to perform this massage while wearing the herbal tampon.

Step 4: Fertility Yoga

The fertility yoga positions my clients practice help to overcome tubal fertility as they stretch the organs, and indirectly soften scar tissue. Some of the yoga positions are designed to increase the flow of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the pituitary gland (which governs the reproductive hormones), while other positions help the reproductive organs.

To increase the effectiveness of the herbal tampons, my clients perform the yoga every morning, before taking the tampon out.

Step 5: Total Body Cleansing For Fertility

The body cleansing for fertility program helps the body to get rid of toxins that damage the fertility, or cause the reproductive organs to become inflamed or infected.

It includes a colon cleanse, liver cleanse, kidney cleanse, heavy metal cleanse, and a parasite cleanse. All of these cleanses support the liver in recycling old hormones and maintaining the balance of hormones, and they can prevent conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, PCOS, and PID, which can affect the fertility.

Another benefit of the body cleanse is that it can double the effectiveness of any herbal remedy you take. This means you will shorten the time it takes you to get pregnant by approximately 50% – if you decide to carry out this important step.

Step 6: Stress Management & Relaxation

It’s important to manage your stress levels while trying to conceive, as stress can prevent you from getting pregnant. This is because when you’re stressed, you release a hormone called cortisol, which can affect the balance of other hormones in the body (such as estrogen and progesterone).

When you’re stressed, you’re more likely to experience spasms in the fallopian tubes, or any other part of the reproductive organs, which can prevent sperm from reaching the egg, or it can prevent successful implantation.

The fastest way to manage stress is by listening to an audio CD, which puts your brain into a relaxation state. Once the brain waves have slowed down, the body will relax and be more conducive to conception.

Step 7: Nutritional Optimization

One of the fastest ways to boost the fertility is by changing the diet. I find that my clients get the best results by increasing their intake of raw fruits and vegetables to 9 portions a day. Eating fruits and vegetables in their raw form helps you to access the nutrients in the foods, increases your intake of antioxidants and alkalizes the body.

Antioxidants can help reverse the effects of free radicals and make the reproductive organs younger and healthier. They have also been proven to improve egg quality. To get the maximum amount of antioxidants in your daily intake, I recommend mixing an antioxidant into your juice every morning.

Alkalizing foods help to neutralize excessively acidic cervical mucus, which can be very hostile to sperm, and prevent conception. These foods also support your detoxification, as they create an internal environment in which bacteria and viruses cannot survive. The best way to eat a large quantity of nutrient dense foods is with an alkaline mix, which an contain a number of superfood fruits and vegetables, and can be available in a form that can be added to juice, water or smoothies.

Learn to Apply Eye Makeup by Browsing Blogs – Plus, Use These Tips!

By learning the various techniques from makeup bloggers, applying eye makeup will be simple. There are likely many tips and tricks that even the most experienced wearer can benefit from learning.

Choose the Right Eye Shadow Colors

Usually, one will wear three different shades in one. They are a medium, dark and light shade that all go in different areas. Medium goes on the lid, light on the top, and the dark in the crease of the eyelid. Colors should be chosen from the same family, such as blues and browns.

A great tip from makeup bloggers is to use shades of eye shadow that go with the eye color of the wearer to enhance them.

· Blue eyes are great with similar shades to include grey, silver, and dark blues. Bronze, copper, brown and tape are also beautiful with blue eyes.

· Brown eyes benefit from bronze, tape and brown, but also look lovely with purple, grey, blue and green.

· Green eyes can also wear similar shades to include all shades of green; pink, purple, gold and taupe also look great.

· Those with grey eyes will do well wearing charcoal, silver and blue with contrasting shades being brown, green, purple and gold.

· Hazel eyed beauties are lucky as they can use almost any color. Most go for golds and greens to bring out those elements of the eye color, but purple, wine and brown look great too.

· Eye shadow primer will make the shadow last longer.

Base and Highlights

Here are the steps to follow as advised by the top makeup bloggers worldwide:

1. Starting with the lightest shade, swirl the shadow brush in the makeup and sweep it over the eyelid.

2. Gently blend the shadow to the corner of the eye, away from it.

3. Brush some loose powder underneath the eye right below the lashes to pick up any loose specks.

4. Use a primer to stop the shadow from creasing if desired.

5. Apply the highlight in the inside corners to have an eye-opening effect and define the eyes.

Apply the eyeliner

When applying eyeliner, makeup bloggers recommend putting the tip of the liner pen or pencil as near as possible to the lash line on the upper eyelid. Then slowly drawing a smooth line from the middle to the outside corner makes for a perfect start.

From there, one can extend the eyeliner a bit outside that corner, and make what’s called a wing tip. A pencil or liquid eyeliner will do, it’s purely a matter of choice. Most use brown for daytime and black for night ventures.

Applying Mascara

Makeup bloggers advise to begin applying mascara from the middle of the eye. The brush should be dipped just once and dragged along the rim to get rid of extra mascara. If the eyelids are lowered as the mascara brush is applied and moved side to side it will apply it perfectly. Some use mascara on their lower lashes while some do not.

Shade the Eyebrows

Not many have thick brows, so many will fill them in. Take an eyebrow pencil or some shadow and go along the natural shape of the eyebrows. Apply less the closer it gets to the nose, and use a color that’s a bit lighter than the hair color. For blondes, go a few shades darker.

Hair Care With a Chi Straightener

Deciding what to do to with your hair with a chi straightener is a no-brainer. The Internet is loaded with tons and tons of online step-by-step tutorial videos that teach girls and women how to achieve that salon-styled hairdo. With determination, patience and practice, anyone can have a perfectly-polished hairstyle without having to go to a salon every time. But before you get trigger-happy-or shall we say handle-happy-with your straightener, read on below for some essential hair care tips to guarantee best results every time you style your hair.

Keep away from harmful environmental factors that can cause serious damage to your hair. Avoid exposing your hair to too much sun, especially between 10 o’clock in the morning and 3 o’clock in the afternoon. The sun’s ultraviolet rays are at their strongest during these hours, and this can severely dehydrate your hair which in turn can make the strands dry and brittle. If this happens, it is not advisable to use a chi straightener on damaged hair. Other things to keep in mind are to stay away from dust and pollution like car smoke and not too spend too much time in an air-conditioned room because it can dry out hair.

Go easy on styling products. While hair aids like gels, hair cuticle coats, volumizers, leave-on conditioners, mousse, hairsprays, and hair gums can add more volume and texture to your hair when you style it, excessive use of these products will eventually take its toll and damage your hair. Use just right amount when using these products to style or shape your hair. Plus, don’t forget to rinse them off very well afterward.

Follow through with a good set of shampoo and conditioner. If you can put a good amount of money in buying a chi straightener, then you surely must also invest in finding the perfect pair of shampoo and conditioner that your hair will love. The market is flooded with bottles and bottles of different shampoos and conditioners, and finding one that best adapts to your hair will definitely take some time. If you’ve already found a pair that produces beautiful results for your hair, try to stick to it. And don’t forget to rinse hair thoroughly after every bath to avoid any residue build-up.

Watch what you eat. Just like caring for your body, good nutrition and a well-balanced diet can make for good hair. We all know that saturated, fatty foods can cause harm to our bodies, and the same goes as well for our hair. Always keep a conscious mind when ordering out or doing your grocery. You can also check the Web for foods that provide nutrients needed for good hair growth such as those than contain high amounts of protein and antioxidants. Good, healthy hair can make styling with a chi straightener easy and no worries.

Get prompt and proper solution when you encounter hair problems like split-ends, lice, dandruff or falling hair. Constantly check your scalp for tell-tale signs of any impending hair dilemma. If you treat them at its onset, you are more likely to keep these pesky hair crises at bay.

Stay away from smoking and alcohol intake. These culprits can also cause hair to lose its moisture. Aside from these two, finding ways to maintain a stress-free lifestyle is also beneficial to your hair as it does to your overall well-being. With proper hair care and maintenance, a chi straightener can provide any woman or girl dozens of fabulous hair that will truly make heads turn.

The 4 ‘E’s To A Successful Weight Loss Program

Many individuals that start up a workout program and aspire to ‘lose weight’ are usually setting themselves up to fail before they have even begun. They aim to ‘lose weight’ but don’t set out goals on how to achieve it. How much weight? By when? From where? The four e’s guide is a quick tip guide to help focus the mind on what is required to successfully shed the pounds and achieve success.

Education

According to many weight loss experts, dieticians and even doctors. Losing weight is 90% mental and only 10% physical. Some even say that the key to a successful weight loss program begins in the brain. If this is true, then your first workout should be in the mind.

You should firstly evaluate your reasons for losing weight and what you want to achieve from it. Ask yourself the kind of things you’d expect to ask others, Do you want to look good? Do you want to be healthy? Do you want to live longer? Or maybe you want all three and to feel great about yourself.

When you have decided your main reasons to begin a weight loss program, grab a pen and paper and jot it down. Then write down what changes you plan to make in order to achieve your goal. Always have an overall target to reach but make sure you set small goals such as lose two pounds in two weeks, small goals will be easier to achieve therefore keeping your motivation up.

Keep a calendar handy to track your progress, do weekly weight checks and even track what type of foods you have eaten. Updating a calendar with your weight each week is a visual reminder that what you are doing is working. This is also an incredible motivator because when its there in black and white its harder to quit.

Eat Healthy

When it comes to making any changes in your life, habits are very hard to change. Worst of all is eating habits, you make so many choices everyday. It’s very difficult not to continue eating small snacks and pretty much whatever you like. For successful weight loss you must learn what types of food to eat, what times of day are best to eat and portion control.

Get to know the healthy eating habits that make weight loss easier, low-fat, high-fibre, high protein. All essential to effective weight loss as well as drinking plenty of water. One of the best tips for anybody to learn is to keep hydrated because sometimes thirst can be mistaken for hunger. Always eat lots of green leafy vegetables and never skip meals, especially breakfast.

Exercise

Have a set weight loss exercise plan that’s manageable and appropriate, success must be possible. If you are new to working out, don’t get an exercise plan that is too demanding. Concentrate on an exercise you’ll enjoy and will stick to, walking is obviously the best and easiest to start out with. Walking has no impact on your joints and skeleton, it also has the mental stimulation of getting out and interacting with the world outside. Once you are comfortable with your ability to walk a great distance change it to running for a better calorie burn.

At the same time, if you are one of those people who don’t like the thought of exerting themselves, there are forms of low impact weight loss alternatives. Yoga, hypnosis and meditation are all great for weight loss. Yoga is excellent for those who also want a home workout program, searches on the Internet will provide different positions for you to learn. Stick to it and steadily take off pounds, tone your muscles, tune up your mind and gain fabulous flexibility that makes you look great.

Enjoy

Perhaps the most important aspect of any weight loss program is enjoyability. Even those who hate exercising can find an activity they’ll enjoy. The important thing about enjoying an exercise is the motivation you’ll be able to maintain. Gather a group of friends and play a game of football, basketball or even take a relaxing hike. Check out forms of energetic dance such as Zumba, go with a friend so you can track each others progress. Knowing you have someone following your successes and failures always pushes you to do better.

Prostate Gland Function, Problems and Diet

The prostate gland is a part of male reproductive system. It surrounds the male urethra, which is a tube and gives a passage to the flow of urine from the bladder up to the outside of the body. The main function of this male reproductive gland is to secrete a fluid, which makes up the liquid part of the semen. This fluid nourishes and protects semen, when it is transported into the women vagina through intercourse. It also increases the volume of the semen.

During the spasmodic contractions or convulsion at the moment of intercourse, this gland is able to squeeze and force the secretions it contains into the urethra. The ducts in which these secretions are formed open-close together at the same place in the urethral wall where the two seminal ducts also join the urethra together secretion forms a large proportion of the ejaculate or discharge. Their alkalinity preserves the sperms and stimulates their mobility.

The spermatic cord is about 45 cm in length. This length makes it an effective suction pump for the testicular products. This length also makes it able to contain a large amount of such secretions, so that throughout it may serve as a reservoir, as well as a conduit or duct. In the reservoir there are compartments in which the seminal fluid from the epididymis collects. Main storage of the semen takes are overfull the vesicles act as safety valves and extra containers. The vesicular product is a though, yellowish and sticky substance which gets mixed up in the seminal fluid.

Some of the common diseases of the prostate glands are prostatitis, prostate cancer, benign enlargement of the prostate, and retention of urine. In prostatitis, there is an inflammation of the prostate gland due to bacterial infection. Benign enlargement of the prostate is a non cancerous tumor of the prostate generally seen after the age of 50. Prostate cancer is one of the most common causes of death in males. In retention of urine, the urethra is completely compressed and there is retention of the urine.

Healthy diet and a regular exercise can help you in preventing prostate problems and keep your prostate gland in good health. In prostate gland problems, the patient is advised to consume foods that are rich in zinc. Zinc is present in flaxseed oil, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, eggs, meat and seafood. He should avoid eating sour and fried foods. Clarified butter (ghee made from cow milk), ginger, garlic and asafoetida are the foods that are beneficial in prostate problems. The patient should avoid smoking and drinking alcohol.

Alternate cold and hot hip baths for 10 minutes a day is helpful in prostate problems. A prostate massage is also beneficial in maintaining a healthy prostate or treating a swollen and painful prostate gland.
